As you read The Odyssey, keep an eye out for the following topics. While not all topics appear in all parts of the epic, at least one will show up in each of the twenty four books. Keep a reading log in which you choose at least one direct quotation that supports each topic:  Identity, Maturation, Hospitality, Greek vs. Non-Greek, Role of women, Religious Beliefs and Practices, Divine Intervention, Sports, and Entertainment.
