Coordinated Family & Community Engagement Grant

Spring 2018 Registration for Playgroup for 2-3 year olds

Spring 2018 Registration for Playgroup for 3-4 year olds

NEW!! 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program

Norwood’s Coordinated Family & Community Engagement (CFCE) Grant provides tuition assistance for working parents, in Norwood, whose earnings are at or below the state median income guidelines. This can help defray the cost of tuition that you are currently paying for preschool or childcare. To qualify, a child must be between 2.9 years of age and the age required for kindergarten entrance, and parents residing in the household must be working at least 20 hours per week or have an identified and documented disability. Fees are paid according to income and family size.

Additionally, the grant may assist in funding professional development for staff of participating childcare centers/preschools and support for family childcare providers seeking a Child Development Associate Certificate. These benefits are dependent upon funding availability.

Community Partnerships for Children provides a variety of parent-child activities for preschoolers and their parents during the academic year. All early childhood education and care programs in the Norwood area are posted at the Norwood Public Library, Norwood Recreation Department, on local cable television, and can be found here: Click here for the Resource Guide.

The CFCE Grant also allows for the coordination of services for families, including support for families in making school transitions, building resilience in copying with transitions, and connecting the parent community through literacy and parenting workshops. Please visit the Transition Activities for Grades PreK-13 page for more information.

This grant is supported by funds provided by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
