Maura Smith

Maura Smith grew up in Norwood, and is a proud graduate of the Cleveland School, the Coakley Middle School, and Norwood High School. Maura went on to receive her B.A. in Theatrical Directing from Fordham University and her M.F.A. in Film Production at Boston University. She has worked extensively in theater, film, and television. Theatrically, Maura has worked as a theatrical director and assistant director at The Paper Mill Playhouse, The Juilliard School, and Carnegie Hall. As a filmmaker, she has worked on numerous short and feature films. Her short film Dear Santa has won numerous awards and screened at over 15 national and international film festivals. Maura has worked in the Casting Department on the CBS show Criminal Minds and has served as the Casting Associate on a number of feature films, including Black Mass, Spotlight, and Detroit. Maura is also a Lecturer in Film Production at Boston University.
