Meet Mrs. El Bach

My name is Mrs. El Bach and I am so excited to be starting my eighth year at the Prescott School. I know we will have a great year. I’d like to tell you about myself. 

I grew up in the beautiful seaside town of Scituate. When I was little like you, I didn’t realize how lucky I was to live so close to the many wonderful beaches there.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I went to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I receive a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I taught in Cohasset for a few years, when I was offered a job as a Child Life Specialist, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. It was there that I met Mr. El Bach. During this time, I earned my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education/Hospitalized Children at Wheelock College. Thereafter, I had my three children. Lindsay who with her husband Eric are parents to Jack and Lily Angelina.  Lily was born on 8-8-18,, Just a few weeks ago.  Lindsay is a Registered Dietitian, and lives in Hampton, New Hampshire. Mark, is an event manager at Boston Children's Hospital and Jessica  is at Cardinal Health.

All of my teaching time has been in first grade with the exception of 8 years teaching preschool and seven years as a Title 1 reading teacher at the Oldham School. It was at this time, I realized how much I loved teaching reading and went back to school and became certified as a Reading Specialist.

My favorite time of the year is summer, because I love the beach, sunshine, lobster and my flip flops.

When I am not in school, I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my granchildren. Everytime I see them (once a week at least) they are always doing something new.

I enjoy traveling anywhere warm. Also, my family and I spend many weekends in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. I  love to knit and read in my spare time.

We will have many wonderful times in room 1.
