A major priority of the Norwood Public Schools and Norwood School Committee is to help to facilitate a more open relationship with the community. With this priority in mind, we have recently started working with Clear Gov, which is an organization that helps school systems and municipalities to make their financial and budgetary information more accessible to the public. Our goal in working with Clear Gov is to help the Norwood community engage more with the school budget process, to learn about what our funding sources and expenses are, and to explore how Norwood compares with other communities statewide. Our hope is that this powerful new tool will help the community to see the history of our budget process and how we as a community, school administration, and school committee can work together to help shape the Norwood School System's future.
This new tool can be found on the Norwood School Committee's budget information website. This site includes the latest school budget information and link to the Clear Gov tool.
