McLean Hospital Family Support Series and Open Workshops: Norwood High School is excited to partner with McLean Hospital this year as part of the School Consultation Service program. As part of our partnership, McLean staff will facilitate four workshops intended to support parents and guardians. The second workshop is this Friday – please see below for details. Workshop Title: A Guide to Helping Your Child Approach Difficult Challenges Time/Date: Friday 11/5/2021 12:00PM-1:30PM (recorded and made available for 30 days if you cannot attend). Description: Have you ever gotten a text from your child begging you to pick them up because they feel too anxious? Has your child ever tried to avoid an important activity (e.g., school, homework, extracurriculars, sleepovers) due to feeling anxious? If you’ve answered yes, you have probably wondered what to do next. Should you let them stay home? Force them to go? This parent workshop by the McLean School Consultation Service will help to answer these difficult questions and more. You will leave this workshop with more tools for helping your child approach difficult situations. Link to live workshop: https://partners.zoom.us/j/81741298124

Friends of Visual Arts is proud to present its first virtual art exhibition, Face Yourself. For this art show, Norwood Public School students in kindergarten through 12th grade were asked to submit their art about faces, whether it is a self-portrait or a version of themselves as an animal or someone wandering about. All of the artwork in this exhibit was chosen by students. We are proud to share this exhibit with all of you.

To celebrate the artistic accomplishments of the Class of 2021, we offered to all the seniors in the art department to create a google slide to share their artistic accomplishments. This virtual art exhibit is a conglomeration of their work.
