The Norwood Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant presents the Nurturing Fathers' Program free of charge to Norwood fathers. Don't forget: on January 17th, Impact Norwood is hosting the second installment of the "Demystifying the Teen Brain" speaker series from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Coakley Middle School. Patricia Coffey from Franciscan Children’s hospital in Brighton will discuss the Kids Healthy Minds Initiative in an effort to increase community awareness about youth mental health, teach people about the early warning signs of pediatric mental illness and decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness and its treatments. This is a free, confidential mental health outpatient referral service for children, adults, and families. Students grade 6-12 will be taking the Metro West Health Behavior Survey to gain data on risky behaviors, bullying, safety, nutrition, exercise, mental health. NHS will take the survey on October 23, CMS will take the survey on October 24. Please reach out to Tara Noyes at tnoyes@norwood.k12.ma.us with any questions about the survey.

Social and Emotional Learning is at the continued forefront of our Wellness Department. With this in mind we are proud to present the program of "Power of Choice" from Ben Speaks. The Norwood Public Schools is excited to announce the deployment of a 1:1 Chromebook initiative during the 2018-2019 school year.
