Friends of Visual Arts is proud to present its first virtual art exhibition, Face Yourself. For this art show, Norwood Public School students in kindergarten through 12th grade were asked to submit their art about faces, whether it is a self-portrait or a version of themselves as an animal or someone wandering about. All of the artwork in this exhibit was chosen by students. We are proud to share this exhibit with all of you.
To celebrate the artistic accomplishments of the Class of 2021, we offered to all the seniors in the art department to create a google slide to share their artistic accomplishments. This virtual art exhibit is a conglomeration of their work.

The Secondary Visual Arts Department is proud to share with you our first ever online 6-12 art exhibition. Each art teacher from the Coakley Middle School and Norwood High School selected the art pieces they felt best exemplified this year’s Visual Arts curriculum. Beginning on Monday April 5, 2021, gaiters will no longer be permitted, and we will be encouraging everyone to double mask in accordance with the CDC recommendations. Please know that these changes are in consideration of the closer seating and larger numbers in our buildings. The School Committee voted to shift the school start times in the September of 2022. The approximate times are in these slides but we will also examine bus runs next year to see if the elementary start could be pushed back a little more. Click the headline for the presentation.

In preparation for the School Committee meeting on March 10, 2021, the Task Force is sharing the results of the parent surveys completed in February 2021, the second FAQ that answers the questions which we received via the contact form, and a document that addresses the benefits and concerns of the proposal. The School Committee will discuss and vote on this initiative on March 10.
