Over the past two months, we have been learning all about Ivan, the silverback gorilla,through the school's Share-A-Book program. We have been talking, writing and drawing all things Ivan. At our assembly, second-grade experts came up on the stage and represented facts about Ivan and about gorillas. We also had a special visit from a gorilla (aka Mrs. Coppola).
