Research Process

The Norwood Public Schools have adopted the Big6 Information Problem Solving Process as their model for teaching information and technology skills.  The Big6 Information Problem Solving Process, developed by educational researchers Michael Eisenberg and Robert Berkowitz, teaches students to use critical thinking skills to solve any information need by following its six-step process.  Students learn to identify information needs, to locate and access information, and then use the information to complete a wide variety of tasks.

Please view the Super3 Presentation for an overview of the Super3 Process. The Super3 is a modification of the Big6 Process for students in Grade 2.
