Patricia Coffey from Franciscan Children’s hospital in Brighton will discuss the Kids Healthy Minds Initiative in an effort to increase community awareness about youth mental health, teach people about the early warning signs of pediatric mental illness and decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness and its treatments. This is a free, confidential mental health outpatient referral service for children, adults, and families. The Norwood Public Schools’ will be presenting its 20th Annual Fine Arts Festival on Saturday April 8th at the Norwood High School in the gymnasium and auditorium. Click headline for program and more information.

Norwood students were screened by Dr. Mark Stone, our school dentist, in the fall and screening reports were mailed home to parents/guardians by the Norwood Board of Health. If you have lost or misplaced your form, please contact Jen Bartucca at the Health Department 781-762-1240 X176

The Circle of Hope is a non-profit organization that offers Norwood residents support and assistance due to catastrophic illness. On Saturday, December 3rd the Town Common will be lit up with luminary lights in memory or support of loved ones. Luminary bags may be purchased for $5.00 and a special dedication may be made on the attached form. The payment and form may be turned into the Norwood school nurses as well as the locations listed on the form. Click on headline for form.
