The Cleveland PTO is promoting the love of reading through its "Reading Our Hearts Out" program. Students are encouraged to read every day from February 8th - February 12th. The Cleveland staff jumped in with a video highlighting their favorite children's books. Click on the heading to view.

Weather permitting, the Norwood Library will be making books available to kids and teens for check out! ! Every week, a Pop-Up Library will be set up at one of the schools. The Cleveland School is scheduled for Thursday, August 6th! (See Calendar on the right or go to the Morrill Library website for all times and locations). The Pop-Up Libraries are for Check-Out only -- no other services. A library card and license are needed! Please wear a mask!

The Philadelphia-based dance company, Illstyle and Peace Productions, performed Hip Hop moves and dance styles while promoting lessons about positivity, fairness and kindness.
The Cleveland welcomed Li Liu and her one-person show "Traditions of Chinese Acrobatics" last week. The performance included plate spinning, ribbon dancing, and hand balancing.
Welcome back! School reopens on Thursday, January 2nd.
The Boston-based a cappella group, "Ball in the House" performed at the Cleveland last week bringing R&B, soul and pop. Students also learned about using their voices as an instrument and how to beatbox.
The Cleveland kicked off the PTA's Fun Run campaign with a Pep Rally on Friday. This year's theme is The Wild West and students will learn about positive character traits as part of the fundraising initiative for a school-wide field trip. On Tuesday, October 29th, every grade level will participate in a 30-35 lap Run (jumping and dancing are included)!.
Staff and students wore pink on Friday to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
You may have noticed that the Cleveland School recently added a swing set and a Buddy Bench to the Third Grade Playground area out front. Appreciation goes out to the PTA, Mrs. Coppola and the district's Building and Grounds for making the project possible.
Welcome back students and families! We are excited about beginning a new year of learning and discovery.
The Cleveland School is hosting an Orientation on Tuesday, September 3rd from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. for all families of students entering First Grade or who are new to the school. It is an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and visit their classrooms.
Students participated in an array of fun-filled indoor and outdoor games during the school's annual Field Day! The successful event was organized by Physical Ed Specialist Aimee Worcester.
Congratulations to Lylah Noble and Bridget Kidd who both received awards from the Morrill Library for their essays. Lyla placed First for her essay about choosing Hermione from the Harry Potter series as her BFF. Bridget placed Third for her essay on having Percy Jackson as her BFF.
The Cleveland community gathered around the flag to acknowledge all those who have served their country and to remember all those who sacrificed their lives. The Memorial Day observation featured patriotic poems and songs and the raising of the flag.
The PTA outdid itself in appreciating our teachers last week. Teachers were treated to breakfast, lunch and an array of treats. Thank you Cleveland PTA!
Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year nominees - an annual event hosted by the Orient Lodge: Mary Wesley; Sue Kilduff; Joy Hughey; Janet Palladino, Larry Smith and Christina Beachnau.
