Story teller Valerie Tutson shared African folk tales and songs with students during two assemblies. Students learned several songs with accompanying movements.

Students and staff have the opportunity every Monday morning to walk a mile on a marked course in the back of the Cleveland School. Click here to see photos of the Five Merry Miles walk!

The Cleveland community donated nearly 300 pounds of Halloween candy this year as part of Operation Gratitude. The candy collected was distributed to veterans as well as to deployed military. Students also wrote letters and cards of appreciation acknowledging the military's service and sacrifice.
November marks the start of the annual Norwood Young Readers Award (NYRA) program facilitated by the Morrill Memorial Library and the Elementary School Libraries. Students from Grades Four and Five are asked to read at least four of the eleven nominated titles. Participants will vote for their favorite title in February. Please click on link to see titles.

Runners and walkers convened at the Willett School on October 26th for the "5th Annual Miles For Liam" 3K Race. The benefit was hosted by Liam's L.E.E.P. to increase awareness of and move to end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Liam is a first grade student.
