Hello Mustang families,
As March draws to a close, I wanted to share some important updates and events to anticipate at Norwood High School.
Wednesday March 30th - The Norwood High School PTO is sponsoring a fundraiser this Wednesday, March 30th in the Norwood High School Auditorium at 7pm. The NHS PTO is happy to be welcoming back Dan Candell the Hypnotist to Norwood High School. Dan has been performing this show for the past few years at NorwoodHigh School and it is always quite popular with the students. Your student may have the opportunity to be hypnotized if they are in the audience; of course it is completely up to the student. If your child is interested in attending the show, please let us know. Students are selling them in the school or you can email me directly at spsullivan@verizon.net. Tickets are $10 per person if bought before Wednesday night or $15 at the door. Looking forward to seeing you at the show. It is a great take for students and parents and all are welcome!
Technology Survey - The Norwood Public Schools would like to administer a brief 6 question survey to students in the next two weeks about technology access. Please review the attached letter from Dr. Wyeth, which references a sample of the survey that can be found under the family resources tab on the district's website here; http://www.norwood.k12.
Paper copies of the letter are available in the NHS guidance office regarding the survey and opt-out information.
Framigham State University Science Fair - Framingham State University will be hosting a 'Science on State Street' Extravaganza on Saturday April 23rd from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Norwood students and families are invited to attend. Click here for more details; http://christa.org/
Athletics Update - The NHS Athletic Boosters are hoping you will dust off ol' Billy Barule and join them for the first annual Golf Tournament at Sharon Country Club on May 16th. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.
Norwood High School was very proud to have it's varsity hockey program recognized by the MIAA for a sportsmanship award on Sunday March 20th during the MIAA playoffs at the TD Garden! Congratulations to coach Molly Barefoot and the players for achieving what I consider to be the high water mark for an athletic team!
