Patricia Coffey from Franciscan Children’s hospital in Brighton will discuss the Kids Healthy Minds Initiative in an effort to increase community awareness about youth mental health, teach people about the early warning signs of pediatric mental illness and decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness and its treatments. Students grade 6-12 will be taking the Metro West Health Behavior Survey to gain data on risky behaviors, bullying, safety, nutrition, exercise, mental health.
