Homework Policy

Homework is intended to be practice of a skill taught in class or preparation leading to studying for an assessment The expectation is that when homework is assigned it is completed for the next day or the specified due date. If the homework is not completed the student has the opportunity to complete it for the following day for half credit. If for some reason the assignment is too difficult the student is expected to show they made the effort to do the assignment. If the student is unable to complete the homework within a reasonable time or is overly confused or frustrated a parent/ or guardian can make a note. Rarely if ever should a student need to spend more than 30 minutes of uninterrupted time on a homework assignment.
