Norwood Public Schools Summer School, 2018
Just a reminder that all programs start on Thursday July 5th!

The Norwood Public School district is proud to announce the establishment of a new and exciting summer opportunity for your child entering grades 1-5 in the fall.  This experience is designed for students who would benefit from a continuation of learning opportunities to ensure a successful transition to the next grade.

Highly qualified teachers will provide instruction in literacy and numeracy concepts, including reading readiness, literacy skills of comprehension and writing, hands on mathematics, organizational skills and cooperative games.  English as a Second Language services will be provided for ESL students.

The program will be held at the Coakley Middle School - 1315 Washington Street – from 8:30 until noon, beginning on July 5th and ending on August 7th at noon.  This is a Monday through Thursday program.  No classes will be held on Fridays.

Please note that your child must be recommended by their principal in order to register for this program. Students will be bringing home the form from their principal during the week of May 7th through the 11th, and parents and guardians must then bring this form from their child's principal to one of our two walk-in registration dates, in order for your child to be registered. Please note that the last day to register for this program is Tuesday May 15th.

Our two walk-in registration dates are:

* Monday May 14th from 5pm to 7pm in the Norwood High School Lobby, located just outside the Main Office of Norwood High School

* Tuesday May 15th from 5pm to 7pm in the Norwood High School Lobby, located just outside the Main Office of Norwood High School

Please note that Norwood High School is located at 245 Nichols Street, and that you should enter Norwood High School via the dooor marked #1, in order to use our walk-in registration process.

Dr. Crowley will be doing the walk-in registering on these two dates.

Dr. Crowley can be reached at 781-440-5929, or via email at mcrowley@norwood.k12.ma.us in case you have any questions.

* Just a reminder that you must have the recommendation form from your child's principal in order to register your child, and that the tuition cost is funded by a grant.
