  • This week is our inaugural Career Week. The theme for career week is #WORKYOURPLAN Career Week is an opportunity to participate in career development activities that will help you plan for work and life after high school. Throughout the week we will have a series of workshops, as well as activities such as a career fair and career interest seminar. Workshops will be offered Tuesday through Thursday, blocks 3 and 5. Please pick up an in-school permission slip in the guidance office to select your workshops and get permission from your teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to build your college and career readiness portfolio. Please check your email for the career week schedule.

  • Congratulations to the Students of the Month for March; Dagney Overbey and Cameron Hixon.

  • Student Council's April Meeting will be taking place 4/9 at 2:30 in room 329. We will be planning upcoming events for Senior Week and May Service Saturday. All students are welcome to attend. Meetings are mandatory for all student council officers, please check in with Ms. Curtin if you have any conflicts.

  • Attention Seniors, please check your emails today with an important survey from Ms. Curtin regarding your interest in events for this year's Senior Week. More information will be presented at Wednesday's (4/10) class meeting, but Student Council would like some information for you ahead of time. See Ms. Curtin or any Student Council officer if you ahve any questions, ideas, or interest in helping to plan these events.

  • Friendship Club will be  hosting their annual Easter Egg Coloring Event this coming Thursday 4/11 from 2:30 until 3:30 in the dining hall.  All members on deck please as we have over 10 dozen eggs to color to donate to the homeless through L.Y.N.N Ministries, Love Your Neighbor Now. New members always welcome.  It's only $1 dues for the year!

  • A reminder to juniors interested in zoology for next year: applications are due to Mrs. Flynn by next Friday, April 12. Please see your guidance counselor or Mrs. Flynn with any questions.

  • Seniors….remember to check the Scholarship board in Guidance.  We have 27 scholarships that are available right now.
  • Library Lunch Book Club is Reading What Color is your Parachute for teens by Carol Christen.  This book fits in great with the Career week activities, as it looks into discovering yourself and helping to design your future.   Copies are available here in the library. We will be meeting to discuss the book Thursday April 11th in the library office. Please bring your lunch, dessert will be provided.
