Students read and write everyday!  Reading and writing blocks are designed to support readers and writers of all skill levels. 

MyView Literacy

MyView Literacy / Student Interactive

Reading Block

Using whole group and small group instruction, the Reading Block follows a gradual release model that promotes differentiation for all reading abilities.

Writing Block

Students participate in daily minilessons where they are immersed in genres through mentor texts and can develop their own writer's craft.

Reading - Writing Bridge

In Bridge lessons, students practice skills that are complementary to both reading and writing.

Social and Emotional Learning Programs

Open Circle logo

Open Circle is a program focused on two goals:

  1. strengthen students' social and emotional skills related to recognizing and managing emotions, developing care and concern for others, establishing positive relationships, making responsible decisions, and handling challenging situations constructively
  2. foster safe, caring and highly-engaging classrooms and school communities

Discovering Justice is a civics curriculum engaging students in topics such as community, rules, leadership, and equity while answering the essential question, what is justice and how do I use my voice to advocate for it?
