David Hiltz
David Hiltz is in his fourteenth year in education; ten as a classroom teacher and currently in his fourth year as a building based administrator in a neighboring district. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Saint Michael’s College; a M.A. in History from the University of Massachusetts, Boston; and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Endicott College in conjunction with an Administrative License Principal/Assistant Principal Grades 5-12 and a Professional Teaching License for History, 6-12. Along with his teaching and administrative experience, he has coached Cross Country at the High School Level for nine years; Girls Basketball for twelve years, and Girls lacrosse for seven.
He has lived in Norwood for eleven years and is currently in his second term on the School Committee, being elected for the first time in 2021 and more recently in 2024. He has served since 2022 on the Middle School Building Committee; Co-Chaired the Superintendent Hiring Committee November 2023-February 2024; and worked with the Elementary Study Committee. In June of 2025, he was elected by his peers to serve as Chair for the 2025-2026 School Year. He continues to enjoy giving back and serving the community of Norwood in his role as a School Committee Member.
