Course Registration Overview/Course Selection
2025-2026 School Year
Beginning February 2025, students will begin the process of selecting their courses for next year. Below is helpful information and important deadlines that students and families need to follow. It is important for families to review their student’s course requests and to work with their student’s school counselor to make changes and finalize each student’s program of study.
Below are some important information, resources, and deadlines for families to follow.
- By Feb 7, 2025 - NHS and CMS teachers will have completed making their course recommendations for students for the upcoming school year.
- February 10-14, 2025 - NHS and CMS 8th grade students will begin making their course selections online.
- February 26-March 15, 2025 students in Grades 9-11 will meet with their counselors to review those requests.
- Students who are requesting an override must have those forms completed by April 4, 2025. A form must be submitted for each override request. No overrides will be considered after this date. Teachers may request to make changes to a student’s level or course after that date.
Parents/Guardians must approve all student Course Requests by TBD.
- Parents/Guardians must approve their student’s course requests through the ASPEN portal at https://ma-norwood.myfollett.com
- For help with your parent portal login and password, please email npsaspensupport@norwood.k12.ma.us
- If no action is taken by TBD student requests and teacher recommendations will move forward as written.
- If you do not approve your student’s requests, please contact your student’s school counselor to make the necessary changes. Once you are satisfied, please continue with the course approval process in the ASPEN portal.
