Drug Smuggling
This project is to help students learn about the drug trafficking in Columbia with a teacher's area to promote group projects. Sections of interest include the environment and the coffee trade. Coca leaves, the raw material for cocaine, has been part of the culture of the Colombian highlands for thousands of years. The rising demand for cocaine has changed the local way of life as this drug continues to be a resource to be smuggled to the United States.
